1. Subjective Mood                      
 口訣 : ( if 子句V時態: 現 → 過 , 過 →過完 )
    <假設>
    If + S + were/V-ed ... , S +would/could/should/might + V...     
   與"現在事實"相反

    If + S +  had p.p.  ... , S +would/could/should/might + have p.p. ...  
   與"過去事實"相反

    Each of + 複數 N + is/was...
     One of  + 複數 N + is...

3. reject  v.s. refuse

    reject Listen to audio/rɪˈʤɛkt/ verb rejects; reject·ed; rejecting
[+ obj]  
1 : to refuse to believe, accept, or consider (something) 
My teacher rejected my excuse for being late. 
The committee rejected my proposal/idea/suggestion/motion.  
I agree with several points of her argument, while rejecting [=disagreeing with] her   
  conclusions.   
She rejected the package/letter [=she did not accept the delivery of the package, letter, etc.] 
  and returned it unopened.
2 : to decide not to publish (something) or make (something) available to the public because it is not good enough
My article/book/paper was rejected. 
The produce inspector rejected several crates of berries that had begun to grow mold.
3 a : to refuse to allow (someone) to join a club, to attend a school, etc.
The college rejects hundreds of applicants each year.
   b : to decide not to offer (someone) a job or position
We rejected 5 of the 10 job applicants right away.
4 : to refuse to love, care for, or give attention to (someone)
The mother cat rejected the smallest kitten and refused to feed it.  
Rejected by society, these street kids have to fend for themselves. 
He still loves her even though she's rejected him before.  
He wanted to ask her on a date, but he was afraid of being rejected.
5 medical, of a person's body : to produce substances that try to harm or destroy (a transplanted organ, a skin graft, etc.)
The patient's immune system rejected the transplanted heart. = The patient rejected the transplanted heart.


    refuse Listen to audio/rɪˈfju:z/ verb refuses; refused; refusing
1 : to say that you will not accept (something, such as a gift or offer) [+ obj]  
He refused the job. [=he did not accept the job] 
  I could hardly refuse [=could not refuse] the money. 
  The offer was too good to refuse. [=the offer was so good that I had to accept it] [no obj]  
When they offered me the money, I couldn't refuse.
2 : to say or show that you are not willing to do something that someone wants you to do [no obj]  
They asked her to help but she refused. [+ obj] — usually followed by to + verb  
He refused to answer the question.  
She flatly/stubbornly/steadfastly refused to help.  
They refuse to accept the truth.
3 [+ obj] : to not allow someone to have (something)
They were refused [=denied] admittance to the game.  
They refused him a visa. [=they did not give him a visa]
